Important results from the project
The aim of the Quality Innovation Award is to highlight the very best innovations in order to draw the innovators´ attention and inspire others to dare to believe in their ideas! Particular focus for the Quality Innovation Award 2019 has also been to establish and develop the concept of process innovation - ie new innovative ways of working. In total, five Swedish winning innovations were highlighted, which proved to be very successful internationally as three of them also won awards in the international part of the Quality Innovation Award, which was awarded in Tel-Aviv on 5 February 2020.
Expected long term effects
SIQ has awarded the Quality Innovation Award since 2011 and the year 2019 may be considered the most successful to date. The innovations that were highlighted also showed that the truly successful innovations also change processes and processes from a customer perspective and provide a whole new value, far beyond a new technology. All in all, the Quality Innovation Award 2019 has successfully highlighted innovations that inspired others and it has also shown, in an international perspective, the Swedish innovation power.
Approach and implementation
The Quality Innovation Award 2019 has been led by SIQ, the Institute for Quality Development, and the independent judging committee highlighted five winning innovations that proved to be of high international standard. Great emphasis has been placed on communication and three press releases have been sent out as part of this year´s process to get as much attention as possible to make the innovations known, but mainly to inspire other innovators to dare to believe in their ideas.
