Venture Challenge-Driven Innovation – Stage 1 initiation

Important results from the project

During the initialization phase, the goal was to establish a project, identify and associate to the project relevant actors and competencies, identifying needs of the target groups, identify functionalities and training applications, draft work plan for project collaboration and producing draft agreements. All of these objectives have been met during the initiation phase.

Expected long term effects

A project organization and collaborators who cover the project´s future needs of skills has been established. Appropriate patient groups have been identified (mild cognitive impairment and chronic pain). Relevant content of treatment has been identified. The content has been developed and validated by focus groups (rehabilitation staff and patient groups). Cooperation has started on the development of the maintenance application. We have prepared work plan and prepare draft agreements between cooperating partners.

Approach and implementation

The project group has had planning meetings and made field visits. Cooperation with representatives from the Centre for Health Informatics and Internet psychiatry contributed to gain increased knowledge. A half day seminar for rehabilitation personnel has been conducted, where the project was presented and feedback was gathered to optimize the implementation of the project. Work to bring in quotes for manufacturing an application has begun through meetings with business representatives. External monitoring of Internet-based rehabilitation has been implemented.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
