Important results from the project
The goal of QSIP – phase 2A has been to establish a well-functioning Swedish innovation platform for quantum technology. The Swedish ecosystem for innovation in quantum technology continues to grow, as we have been able to see both through our activities and through the increasing number of people who have signed up to our mailing list. We have continued to work in line with the plans developed during the first phase, for innovation-supporting activities and design of the platform.
Expected long term effects
QSIP will strengthen Swedish competitiveness within and with means of innovations in quantum tech. The platform will create conditions for Swedish companies to develop and commercialize quantum tech solutions, while making it easier for already established industry to use quantum tech. By establishing a strong innovation platform, we create the foundation for an ecosystem where academia, industry and startups collaborate. QSIP will also contribute to positioning Sweden on the global stage.
Approach and implementation
The project has been conducted within 7 work packages, where the emphasis has been on the development of the ecosystem and general innovation support activities. The project team has consisted of organizations that conduct activities close to quantum tech research in Sweden. These include the innovation offices at Chalmers, KTH, Lunds Uni, Uppsala Uni and Linköping Uni as well as GU Ventures, LTU, WACQT-IP, CIT, RISE, Chalmers Next Labs and companies interests in quantum technology.
