Venture Quantum Sweden

Purpose and goal

During stage 2A, QSIP shall be further developed into an innovation platform for quantum technology that i) creates conditions for and builds a strong ecosystem; ii) supports development and commercialization from research results to proof-of-concept; iii) new business activities; iv) facilitates national funding/private capital for business ideas in quantum tech.; v) has expanded international relations and collaborations; and vi) attracts foreign companies to establish themselves in Sweden.

Expected effects and result

A functioning Swedish innovation platform and an ecosystem for the commercialization of quantum technology. During stage 2, we shall have increased the visibility of Sweden and Swedish activities in quantum technology, but also enabled the exchange of knowledge and experience, networking and cooperation between stakeholders. Through this, we intend to create a powerful platform in the long term to ensure continuity and strength in Swedish quantum innovation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has 7 WPs: Design and development of QSIP; The Swedish ecosystem; Use cases; Innovation supporting activities; Equality; International activities; Project management and admin. The project team consists of Chalmers, KTH, Lund University, Uppsala University, Luleå University of Technology and Linköping University as well as GU Ventures, Chalmers Next Labs, WACQTIP, Chalmers Industrial Technology, RISE and companies with activities and interests within quantum technology.
