Important results from the project

The purpose with the project was to show how sustainability, diversity and technology create competiveness. The goal to build a mini factory with a team that consists mainly of girls is achieved. The mini factory is today used in workshops with school classes and industry in order to affect the normative picture of girls and tech and to create discussions about sustainable production. We dessiminate our message through Instagram, workshops, digital conferences and our knowledge platform edig.

Expected long term effects

The result of the project is knowledge that we have gained by creating solutions together with students from upper secondary school, from vocational school and from university. Today we can dessiminate this knowledge in our workshops, through digital conferences, Instagram and edig. The effect is that we inspire young people and employees from industry and get them to think about how they can work with sustainability, diversity and technology.

Approach and implementation

The project had different phases. In the beginning, the mini factory itself was built by students from upper secondary school, from vocational school and from university. The communication about the project was done continuously via Instagram. Because of the pandemic a lot of activities got cancelled but we could continue the development of the factory and during the fall we could conduct several workshops and present the project on digital conferences.
