Important results from the project
Mapping of support for innovations in the industrialization process was conducted. Interviews with companies and a thesis completed. Initiating discussions of industrialization on a national level through cooperation and with members of parliament in the committee on industry and trade. Digital version of Produktionsänglar conducted, including production workshop, workshop for circular design (with SVID), matchmaking event between producers and companies as well as a panel for one of the companies. All participating companies were offered three coaching sessions.
Expected long term effects
The mapping shows a clear interest from actors withing the innovation system to create a national ecosystem for startups with hardware products in the industrialization process, with Produktionsänglar as a base. Interviews with companies show a similar need. The interest on a national level is clear. Through the test run of the digital Produktionsänglar program we have gathered valuable information on how to provide companies and producers with valuable information and created an effective program for a possible future national launch.
Approach and implementation
The mapping was conducted by an external consultant with valuable network within the Swedish innovation system with good results. The knowledge module was conducted by KTH and SSCP. Lessons learned is to support the interviewers more to be sure to get a conclusive evaluation of our program. The test run of the program gave us the possibility to fine-tune its parts before a possible national launch. We conclude that the program should be scaled up gradually on a national level so to be able to change parts in between different levels of launching.
