Important results from the project

In 2021-2022, the municipality of Mölndal and its health and social care administration conducted a procurement of technology with the intention to procure smart, modern and efficient technologies which aims to create security and to increase the wellbeing of care takers having home care, living in nursing homes or in residences with special services, as well as creating an efficient workflow for the organisation.

Expected long term effects

The project fulfilled the goal of procuring smart, modern and efficient security-creating technology that strengthens the users´ participation, independence and security and contributes to creating a more efficient organization. Next step is to realize the benefits of smart and modern technologies, thus strenghtening both our users as well as our organisation. Innovation and not assuming that one product suits everyone play a big role in order to secure a sustainable future for the health and care-sector.

Approach and implementation

The project managed to procure the most efficient and solution-adapted products, through increased negotiation and dialog with the suppliers throughout the procurement and with the focus on function and the users´ needs. Therefore we minmized the risk of being stuck with outdated and ineffective products. We were able to sign an agreement with a supplier who met our eligibility requirements as well as with the focus on close collaboration throughout the entire agreement period.
