Venture Test beds for society´s challenges
Call Test beds for the challenges of society - preparation project 2020

Important results from the project

The purpose was to create a test bed structure through trans-sectorial cooperation. The test bed aims to create progression towards the labor market for unemployed individuals, by using the ‘leisure time sector’ as a platform. The fulfilled project goals were to map relevant research/statistics on labor market, labor market projects and gender equality, to perform a small number of evaluated tests (persons participating in the program), develop the Prisma network and create a method/plan for the test bed.

Expected long term effects

The evaluation showed that the test persons were stimulated from participating and we believe that they will indeed be brought closer to the labor market. Prisma network NGO’s have expressed that the contributions of the participants have strengthened their organizations/activities. The public employment service (AF) along with the Municipality have been positive towards concept and activities of the project. Although the Municipality has not taken on the ownership of the test bed, the concept is now well anchored, which facilitates continued and future Municipality engagement.

Approach and implementation

Despite the form of a preparational project, we have been able to carry out a number of tests (18 teenagers and 4 adults) which seem to have been rewarding to both test persons and involved organizations. The method has been influenced by research and has been developed in a trans-sectorial work group. It implies that supervisor and participant cocreate an individual schedule, including activities aimed to strengthen the participant. The activities are found within the leisure time sector and the test persons are made available through the Municipality Social Service Center or AF.
