Important results from the project
The project has identified the need for new ways of working as well as new technical, legal and administrative solutions in primary care in order to introduce services that can meet, support and follow patients on distance and in homecare situations. Furthermore, the project has studied various aspects of available and future technical communication infrastructures and how they can be used to deliver services with the required availability and security. The basis for an implementation project has been developed.
Expected long term effects
The project has identified the broad introduction of generally available solutions for patient monitoring and home care as a fundamental problem. A second problem area covers a video communication solution that meets all security, personal integrity and documentation requirements that the care chain requires
Approach and implementation
In a review of trends in healthcare solutions the project has in a number of workshops and studies reviewd technical, legal and administrative needs, obstacles and opportunities. This work has then been taken as a basis upon which proposals for solutions and possible implementation projects have been developed.
