Important results from the project
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The aim of the project was to increase the understanding of needs, areas of use and working methods for video communication between callers and the alarm centre. This has been achieved through needs mapping and activities with the Health Service emergency center in Västra Götalandsregionen and Region Uppsala. For the legal aspects, the goal was to map the conditions for the implementation of a video solution. An agreement was drawn up which enabled a pilot use. Knowledge sharing has taken place through national open conferences and via digital channels.
Expected long term effects
The screening shows a positive attitude towards implementing the video tool. The emergency operators predicts great potential that it should generate safer and more precise assessments and be able to contribute to opportunities to give better instructions in critical situations such as cardiac arrest. Early data from the pilot study confirms this, where added value for both callers and alarm operators is reported. The PUB agreement developed in the project was crucial to start the pilot study which contributes important experience that can be shared with other emergency centers.
Approach and implementation
The project constellation has consisted of a focused smaller group, which has made it easy to communicate between the parties. The work has taken place intensively for shorter periods around the planned activities with needs mapping and legal prerequisites initially to create focus among project partners and outsiders, which has worked well. This is probably a results of having several activities, a small budget and relatively plenty of time. Since then, a lot of time has been able to be used to implement, test and train personnel at the alarm center for the pilot use.
