Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to combine the expertise and experience of the two SME companies Douglas Connect (SUI), Genetta Soft (SWE) and the academic partner Karolinska Institutet (SWE). In the project, existing products have been combined and further developed with a high degree of synergy between partners, and a common infrastructure for data, analysis tools and virtual organizations has been established (ToxHQ).
Expected long term effects
Through the project, a shared cloud-based infrastructure was developed, which enabled services and products to be combined, further developed and made available to partners and customers. This has led to a greater spread of products and the establishment of new customer relationships; two new SMEs are already about to integrate their products into ToxHQ.
Approach and implementation
Requirements for infrastructure and products were obtained from industry partners. Common specifications for a cloud-based development platform and e-infrastructure were established, enabling products to be customized and made compatible. Three pilot projects have been carried out based on requirements from industry partners and existing customers, which resulted in increased understanding of the business segment, integrated products and stronger customer relations.
