Call Strengthened Swedish aeronautical research and innovation through international cooperation

Purpose and goal

We investigate two unsteady flow phenomena: shock buffeting and flow oscillations in cavities. These phenomena lead to high pressure fluctuations and thereby fatigue of structures. The goal of this project is to understand, develop and apply numerical tools to predict the above-mentioned phenomena and thereby correct prediction of unsteady loads.

Expected effects and result

New numerical tools for investigation of unsteady flow phenomena

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of four work packages: WP1: Project management WP2: Studies of shock-boundary layer interaction WP3: Studies of cavity flow WP4: Synthesis of results

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
