Important results from the project
The project investigated the conditions for a challenge based innovation contest in digital health within two focus areas in Sweden: health literacy and compliance. In total 24 focus area experts have been interviewed. Their knowledge and experience have been compiled and analyzed together with desktop research. The result in form of four suggested challenges and design of the contest have been presented in a report, and been further discussed in a workshop with invited experts facilitated by Nesta. We believe that the goals of the projects has been reached.
Expected long term effects
The long-term expectations and outcome of this project is that a challenge prize within digital health is conducted in Sweden. On an individual basis we forsee that a contest will lead to increased health and wellbeing and on a societal level reduced healthcare costs.
Approach and implementation
The project proceeded according to plan. The most challenging part was to book interviews with experts within the short time frame for the project. Many of them are researchers, business leaders and clinicians with busy agendas.
