Purpose and goal

The goal of the preliminary study is to create a knowledge-based analysis of Sweden, Spain and France´s ability and conditions to implement innovations in healthcare. Based on the outcome of this analysis, formulate what a national implementation process should look like, i.e. a national operational model for introducing innovation in health and medical care. The aim is to investigate whether there is a need for, and conditions for, creating a Swedish national model for implementation.

Expected effects and result

Obtain a knowledge-based analysis of the health care system´s ability to implement innovations in Sweden, Spain and France where success factors are identified. Gain leverage between different implementation initiatives in Sweden, Spain and France. The outcome of the preliminary study must contain a plan for a possible implementation project, where the resources (people, funding and time) that have been identified needed and which project parties are important for successful implementation.

Planned approach and implementation

Implementation via 3 work packages; 1) Project management- Aims to keep together the entire project structure and its participants. 2) Strategic analysis- London school of Economics will carry out a strategic analysis for orderly introduction in Sweden, Spain and France. 3) Implementation planning - A series of workshops where the participants process the outcome that comes from the strategic analysis and work further for an implementation plan. The project will report to a steering group.
