Important results from the project
The project´s aim has been fulfilled: To develop and improve the basic functions of the Platsminnen app, for easier use, and to develop the Platsminnen methods for social interaction around images, life stories and memories.
Expected long term effects
Platsminnen has been developed into a more easy-to-use and intuitive tool for good conversations, meaningful activities and good person-centered care in dementia care. Platsminnen is also a unique tool for creating and sharing personal life stories (also with family and friends), which provides improved communication and the conditions for good person-centered care. Platsminnen is also a useful tool for digital coaches.
Approach and implementation
The further development of the app and method, Platsminnen, has been based solely on the requests and needs of healthcare personnel and people with dementia diagnosis during practical pilot work.
