Important results from the project
The 3 complementary perspectives aimed at enhancing collaboration: - Inside-out - work on value creation in excellence environments have had a positive effect on attitudes and strengthened individuals in establishing constructive collaboration with external parties. - Outside-in - increased partner recognition and awareness and initial design of collaborative frameworks with partners, companies and public organizations. - Student perspective - increased knowledge about students´ motivations and needs, a concrete proposal for a consolidated student support function.
Expected long term effects
Development during the project period has involved a centrally anchored function for collaboration. The conditions for the exchange of experience across the faculties have been improved and enables recognition and further strategic development of collaboration. Enhancing valorization in excellent research environments has increased awareness and engagement in terms of aspiration to commercialize and also better collaborate in research applications. Focus on students has rendered opportunities to consolidated and better coordinate and also adjust the support structure.
Approach and implementation
Granted funds were less than applied for necessitating a sharper focus on the key that was, and is, working to strengthen the central anchorage of collaboration, thus enabling strategic development. The three parallel perspectives have remained. E.g the process of value creation in the strategic environments has been well received, providing a practical activity that can strengthen the strategic collaborative work. Also, the wide range of student activities contributed to illustrate challenges and opportunities, therefore made visible the potential of increased coordination.
