Important results from the project
The project´s goal was to develop a competitive proposal to the EU call for proposals HORIZON-HLTH-2024-STAYHLTH-01-05-two-stage Personalised prevention of non-communicable diseases - addressing areas of unmet needs using multiple data sources. We aimed to establish a consortium of international partners in academia, private and public sector, as well as the insurance and food industries and civil society.. Our team succeeded in creating a consortium with different actors and in writing proposal that was submitted for stage 1
Expected long term effects
The EU-project´s aim is to apply various elements of precision health to develop and implement targeted interventions for non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention that integrate data from biomarkers, behavior and environmental determinants. The goal of the project is to improve diet, physical activity and other lifestyle related behaviors through targeted interventions that are adapted to the needs of the individuals. The project also aims to test various tech solutions and influence policy at the national level. Our proposal is now awaiting review by the EU in stage 1
Approach and implementation
We managed to establish a consortium of European partners in various academic and non-academic fields and wrote a stage-1 proposal to the call for proposals HORIZON-HLTH-2024-STAYHLTH-01-05-two-stage Personalised prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Now we continue the cooperation within the consortium while we wait for the EU´s evaluation of proposal, and in the meantime try to strengthen the consortium with potential partners.
