Purpose and goal

In this project we will investigate permeable asphalt regarding technical properties, work environment, processability and economy with the aim to maintain the positive properties of asphalt while introducing permeability. The goal is to prevent effects of heavy rain as flooding, water pollution and traffic accidents.

Expected effects and result

The expected effect is increased knowledge about if and how permeable asphalt can be implemented in Sweden. The expected results is a plan of a following pilot in Stockholm.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is divided into five work packages and structured as follows: WP 0: Project Management and reporting, WP 1 Learnings and sampling from previous pilots, WP 2: Technical properties and requirements, WP 3: Decision support, WP 4: Planning of pilot.
