Important results from the project
* Denna text är maskinöversatt * The goal of the project was to develop a prediction tool for laminated veneer products to improve product performance by reducing complaints and customer complaints and reducing the time from idea to market. This has been achieved by: Complaints and customer complaints have been drastically reduced for investigated products with associated efforts and working methods. Test methods have been developed to better capture the load on chairs than today´s standard test methods. A numerical model has been developed in good agreement with experimental tests.
Expected long term effects
* Denna text är maskinöversatt * A numerical model has been developed in parallel with t experimental tests. The correspondence between model and test is good. Fault cause analysis has been performed on several products. The previously costly rejections have in principle ceased on the products where action programs have been implemented. All in all, this has meant knowledge building, more sustainable products, better resource utilization and investments. New working methods and alternative testing methods have been developed. There is interest in continuing with that work.
Approach and implementation
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Fault-cause analyzes have been carried out with associated tests to level causation. Based on these, efforts have been made to improve production and product performance. The scheme has been shown to help minimize rejections and complaints. Standard testing methods have led to wrong decision making. New methods have been developed. The test methods developed in the project have solved the problems. This together with a developed simulation model contributes to increased understanding and decision-making. There is a good basis for future work.
