Important results from the project
The initial purpose of Pejl was to function as a manager support with integrations to other systems. We revised this idea and supplemented it to become a more complete tool in economics, with a small focus towards communications agencies. Pejl function as a system on top of Fortnox. All employees use Pejl, which ensures that we get data from all time logging and projects. Already today, the first version of the manager support has been a great help for managers who have a view where they can follow their employees in real time, both from the aspect of working just enough and financial key figures.
Expected long term effects
Since the introduction of Pejl at our test companies, the perceived control over projects and employees has greatly improved. In addition, profitability has been affected very positively. Project managers feel that they understand finances in a completely new way and the managers have gained a better overview of the employees in simple bars and key figures, which allows them to act on deviations, such as excessive overtime or challenges in profitability. We believe that this is just the beginning of the results we want to achieve.
Approach and implementation
We have had an agile approach with the construction of Pejl. The first months were intense to create a good enough product that directly could replace previous systems for project economy at the ten test companies. We had a chat-widget for support and feedback that has been valuable. Meetings with managers and project managers have been held several times at all companies where proposals have been collected. Workshops with managers have helped to compile which of the ideas that would have the most effect. These ideas have been designed and validated through user testing.
