Important results from the project
Peak Innovation has a national assignment to lead the future work for growth in tourism, sports and outdoor. This by stimulating research, innovation and business development within and between these industries. The vision is that the Jämtland region is an internationally leading environment for research, innovation and business development in tourism, sports and outdoor.
Expected long term effects
Through the development of platforms in, for example, parasport, snow, sustainability and Peak in Sports, Peak Innovation has secured long-term innovation in the areas that will give impact to research environments as well as business in the form of increased research funds, increased work opportunities and establishments. It has also created structures for ongoing collaborative projects between research / industry that provide national and international cooperation.
Approach and implementation
Focus 2017 has been on improving regional knowledge, long-term regional ownership, initiating new forms of cooperation within the 4-helix regionally, nationally and internationally, while pursuing specific activities and projects. Renewed strategy, excellence, clarification of the initiative´s role as well as effective working methods mean that PI continues to develop as a central platform in the system. High ambition level has led to continued activities leading to desired effects.
