Important results from the project
RISE Mechanics Research aimes to establish contacts with potential partners in Brazil. By participating in the matchmaking event in Brazil, competences and project ideas have been presented in conjunction with personal meetings with people from different organizations. The goal of creating new contacts is met since all available meeting opportunities were booked which generated new contacts that did not exist before the meeting.
Expected long term effects
RISE has established contact with seven different possible Brazilian partners. Several potential ideas that were discussed can lead to projects and collaborations. The initial contacts is expected to generate actual collaborations and common project applications.
Approach and implementation
Information about the matchmaking event was presented at RISE section of Mechanics Research. We found that the event focused on several areas that we are working on. A description of our work and expert areas were presented and a number of project proposals were produced. Prior to the matchmaking event, we found a match against seven different people in Brazil who wanted to discuss collaborations. All seven booked meetings were conducted during the matchmaking day. Contacts with all seven people have been created and discussions on collaboration and project ideas have been initiated.
