Important results from the project

Paperwork is a service that simplifies and speeds up the handling of freelance contracts. The purpose is to facilitate this for all parties in the gig economy - both buyers and sellers of freelance services. By having all terms and contracts in one place, this increases the transparency and predictability of payment for both parties. This is a good starting point for a more fair and more accurate remuneration for the freelancers, and makes it easier to obtain clear benchmarks for the freelance buyers.

Expected long term effects

The project aims to build a simple technical prototype that can be tested together with prospective customers. With their usage and feedback, the system can then be further developed to be commercialized and then launched to a wider market. Now that the prototype works, we will invite these first test customers to use the service, and then collect their feedback through interviews.

Approach and implementation

Prior to the project starting, we had conducted a series of interviews with prospective customers from different market segments. Based on their feedback, we built an MVP - minimum viable project - as a starting point for this prototype. This MVP plan was then processed together with our development partner to set up an agile workflow that ran throughout the project period. We had continuous work meetings via video, as well as daily updates via the chat system Slack.
