Important results from the project

PACES achieved its goals by developing innovative solutions for more sustainable urban development while strengthening collaborations across boundaries. The project´s focus on slower, shared modes of transport created new dialogues and ways of thinking, which is crucial for meeting future challenges. The result has great potential for future applications and can support strategic decisions in urban development and mobility, as well as influence and drive sustainable development in Stockholm.

Expected long term effects

PACES can, in the long term, strengthen the City of Stockholm´s ability to implement sustainable urban development. Through cross-functional and innovative collaborations, the project has promoted new ways of thinking that can lead to more strategic decisions in mobility and urban planning. The tools and methods from the project show great potential for future applications. These insights help the city better handle future challenges and drive towards more sustainable urban development.

Approach and implementation

During PACES, a series of well-structured activities were carried out, such as signal detection, research, workshops, and analyses. During the project, we were able to develop our initial ideas, which created a better outcome and resulted in several innovative solutions. We largely followed the original timeline, although some adjustments had to be made due to technical challenges with an AI tool. The collaboration worked well between the project´s various parties and the actors who participated.
