Important results from the project
The aim of the project has been through knowledge exchange with manufacturers, users, suppliers and research practitioners identify needs and opportunities to reach the identified societal challenge, that is, to ensure disabled people´s right to good health through increased opportunities for physical activity, participation and self-determination. The goal was to lay the foundation for a stage-2 project and an application will be formulated during the fall.
Expected long term effects
The project has resulted in increased knowledge of all project partners and a consensus on the challenges and needs of the area. Through workshops and other forums have important contacts have been established with potential partners in a stage-2 project. Two theses have also been implemented in the time trials made and the safety risks identified in existing manufacturing processes, which constitute important basis for further work in a step-2 project. A draft project plan for step 2 has been developed and will be refined during the coming application work during the autumn.
Approach and implementation
1. Collection of data for the requirement specification through a workshop for manufacturers and suppliers as well as users´ questionnaire. 2. State-of-the-art of alternative production methods, materials and evaluation methods 3. 2 theses that have conducted time studies and evaluates the working environment and ergonomics for two different manufacturing processes. 4. Discussions for concept evaluation before a stage 2 application based on 1-3. 5. Drafts of agreements designed for the step-2. 7. Defined work packages and formulated aim and goal for the step-2 application.
