Status Ongoing
Venture International individual mobility within cutting-edge technology
Call Closed offer - International individual mobility for cutting-edge technology 2024

Purpose and goal

Luxbright AB (LXB), a leading Swedish innovator in X-ray technology, collaborates with World Beam Solutions (WBS) in Korea to develop the next generation of X-ray sources. This project integrates field emitters using quantum tunneling and quantum coherence to improve efficiency, stability and resolution in X-ray imaging.

Expected effects and result

Enhance Luxbright’s expertise in quantum-enhanced X-ray technology through collaboration with WBS. Establishes a sustainable, long-term partnership between Luxbright (Sweden) and WBS (Korea) for ongoing innovation.

Planned approach and implementation

Visiting staff will be actively involved in the R&D project focused on developing next-generation quantum-enhanced cold cathode X-ray tubes by:Phase 1: Harmonize X-ray measurement and imaging methodologies with global best practices. In phase 2, Focus on optimizing critical performance parameters. In Phase 3 simulation and design of an cold cathode for seamless integration into an X-ray tube. Phase 4 is about coordination to make measurement and benchmarking of the developed X-ray tube.
