Important results from the project
Open platforms for building automation can contribute to reduced environmental impact and an equal market for sustainable system innovations, smart control, lower and more flexible energy use in buildings. The intention is to enable the installation of data-driven services in properties as easily as installing a mobile app on the phone.
Expected long term effects
More open digital platforms create opportunities for innovative, replicable, and cost-effective solutions to reach the market faster. Open platforms give more stakeholders the opportunity to build and launch better tools for e.g., controlling and regulation, maintenance and visualization that can accelerate the transition to energy efficiency. We see openness as an important attribute for moving faster towards advanced digital services and system innovations.
Approach and implementation
The project includes several work packages that, among other things, deal with the development of requirements and function specifications, the establishment of test beds and demonstrators, gender equality and finally business models and processes for property automation services and operations.
