Purpose and goal
The aim is to clarify the possibilities for expanding Lund´s open IoT testbed with 5G+/6G test possibilities by linking it with Ericsson´s local test network and preparing a rollout plan for infrastructure that must be established as well as gathering actors who are interested in the possibilities the test bed can offer.
Expected effects and result
The project will form the basis for the next part of the investment, which involves starting to test and trial the test bed model in a prephase before a large rollout.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will establish a working group and a steering group for the infrastructure parts as well as execute planning and test short-term and long-term infrastructure rollout plan with all relevant stakeholders. Smaller tests of a new solution for fiber and power in the same cable to test sites are to be tested. The project will bring together actors who are interested in using the testbed for the development of services and products and prepare a model for use of the testbed.
