Important results from the project
Goal and objectives of the project was to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market by developing improved methods, processes, component models and tools for certification/qualification/verification of safety related embedded systems. nSafeCer included competence from the automotive, construction equipment, avionics and railway domains. It was an ARTEMIS project (EU FP7) with 29 participating industries, universities and research institutes from six European countries.
Expected long term effects
Evaluation of project results shows (when developing and certifying safety related embedded ssyems): -reduced cost for qualification, certification and verification. -increased efficiency (when using developed framework, i.e. process, component model and tools for model based development and certification).
Approach and implementation
nSafeCer was divided in eight main work packages, themselves further divided in sub-work-packages and tasks: WP1 Methods & technologies WP2 Tooling WP3 Railway use cases WP4 Aerospace use cases WP5 Automotive & construction equipment use cases WP6 Cross domain and healthcare use cases WP7 Dissemination and standardization WP8 Project management Fruitful cooperation and interesting results have caracterized the project. It has passed all milestones and was considered very successfull by participants, ARTEMIS JU and extermnal reviewers (Final review was held 2015-03-19)
