Important results from the project
The purpose was to gather an industry constellation in ultrasound-based separation of residual streams in pulp making, to ensure ownership of the technology and to submit a full research application to Bioinnovation. An additional purpose was coordination with other proposed projects via Bioinnovation appointed persons at IVL.
Expected long term effects
The industrial constellation, Swedish patent application, coordination with other proposed projects and with designated persons at IVL and complete project application were completed.
Approach and implementation
The proposed technology was judged to be new to the scope, which made it necessary to submit a Swedish patent application to ensure utility rights to the technology and enable industrial implementation. A number of meetings were conducted between industrial parties and the coordination group. A final application was submitted for assessment at the beginning of May.
