Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to strengthen the collaboration between the Nordic countries and Nordic players in Silicon Valley in the areas of Future Mobility. Future Mobility has been announced as a focus area for future collaboration between the Nordic countries in Silicon Valley. The project has started round the table discussions between the six participating vehicle operators from Sweden which continued after this project ended. Three US startup companies from Silicon Valley have partnered with MobilityXlab partners (in the US / Sweden).

Expected long term effects

The project resulted in a three-day conference with side-by-side activities in the field of future mobility, with the expectation to strengthen cooperation between automotive industry players in the Nordic region and their counterparts in Silicon Valley in the field of future mobility.

Approach and implementation

The project consisted of planning and conducting a three-day conference with 100 guests per day, as well as evening activities involving Nordic actors. It also included a solid work of finding and recommending startups as MobilityXlab partners (Zenuity CEVT Ericsson Veoneer Volvo Cars Volvo Group) would start co-operating with who pitched at the conference. Selected Swedish industrial companies from Drive Sweden and MobilityXlab also received a tailor-made program with visits to world-leading industrial companies within AI, incubators, and Universities.
