Important results from the project
The purpose of the project is to bring the product closer to the market and for that purpose we have divided the project in three work packages; technique, clinic and marketing. The product has been reworked, further developed and validated with clinical data. Patent for the product is pending in the US and approved in Europe. There are ongoing negotiations with international medtech companies for cooperation. On whole, we have come far with what we intended to do.
Expected long term effects
When the project was planned, we have hoped that the product would have been integrated with a PACS program but it has taken longer time to find a partner, not least the negotiations. On the other hand, we have discovered the possibility to package the product as a cloud service. It is an exciting distribution channel which made the integration with PACS program less urgent.
Approach and implementation
The setup was relevant and being revised due to changed prerequisites is a natural part of project management. Some activities had taken longer time than other but overall it was good time estimation.
