Funding from Vinnova SEK 51 500
Project duration March 2019 - June 2019
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to take the most important innovation concepts from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency´s innovation competition and guide them further by identifying possible financing solutions and stakeholder consortium. The aim of the project was to clarify different conditions for each innovation concept for how they can be further developed based on the different financing solutions available in the market and to describe partnerships, a simple budget and schedule. This was done to enable the implementation of the concept ideas.

Expected long term effects

The project ideas have been developed based on WSP´s method of supporting external financing projects. A scan has been made to find potential external financing that was right in focus, time, size of funding and conditions for consortia. The three financing solutions that best matched the project idea were presented to the project owners. The concepts have been further developed to clarify the innovation, benefit or collaboration with other actors. This is to make the projects more egde based on similar project and make them more interesting for financiers to support.

Approach and implementation

WSP have supported and acted as a competence bank for the projects involved. To take the project ideas from idea to real project, we have used the following main orientations from the projects and scanned for funding with these tracks: Innovation, Infrastructure, Transport, Circular economy, Energy in general, Renewable energy production, Sea and water. We recommend 7 different funds, several of which can be applied to different innovation projects. Two proposals for funds, EU Horizon 2020, are also presented.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
