Important results from the project
The project´s objective of starting a policy platform for advanced materials has been fulfilled. The platform has collected information and served as a meeting place for discussion and exchange.
Expected long term effects
Innovations with advanced materials are needed for a sustainable society. This also requires good regulations and policies. A continued platform can be a neutral arena for information and discussion for all actors within advanced materials. The platform has the opportunity to continue working to develop good policies together with companies of all sizes and with authorities. This enables continued innovations with advanced materials and thus continued competitiveness.
Approach and implementation
The project included interviews with people from about 20 companies and other organizations to increase understanding of their policy-work and their challenges related to policies. We arranged a conference that brought together participants both within and outside the project. The project was presented at several different conferences. The platform established contact and expanded the exchange with several other initiatives on advanced materials, especially those with a focus on policy.
