Important results from the project
Throughout the project the aim has been to strengthen and support the industrial partner to develop, evaluate and build a new knowledge base for the production of electric powertrains via new and innovative production solutions and a working process that promotes agility and adaptability to meet ever faster changes and requirements. At the final stage of projects, the results have shown a strengthened ability to innovate, a faster ability to develop and increased knowledge for transformation into electric driveline production for industrial partners.
Expected long term effects
Innovation model and virtual tools have enhanced the industry´s ability to generate innovative solutions. The innovation model contributes to flexible and adaptable project management for industry. The electric machine lab, has built competence for production of electric motors and key processes. The development points have contributed to steps towards the effect goals. One result is that step 3 is absolutely necessary for continued work and secure national capability for a series production of new powertrains. Next step of the project will be a platform for this transformation.
Approach and implementation
Our work packages have been several: Innovation model Competence development Virtual development Application and development Utilization Communication Integration Frequent project meetings have been successful. The number of work packages could have been condensed to a few fewer. All work packages have contributed to the sub-goals and thus the impact goals.
