Important results from the project
The project delivered an IoT prototype developed with customer input. It was integrated into our filter and installed in the water systems of three pre-selected buildings. The sensor effectively monitored real-time DO levels, transmitting data to our cloud server for continuous analysis. This initiative also unlocked market opportunities in industrial applications, helping us identify potential customers seeking advanced IoT- tools for water quality monitoring.
Expected long term effects
The initial prototype was primarily designed for use in commercial buildings. The results obtained during the project have shown other potential applications such as oxygen monitoring in industrial settings. Another opportunity is to integrate the solution to other complementary equipment such as deoxygenators.
Approach and implementation
The project was conducted by developing an IoT system based on feedback from our customers and tested in three different buildings. There we monitored the DO levels in real time and ensured the prototype is accurate. Surveys confirmed the interest in such a solution. The business strategy is to offer this solution as a stand-alone product or integrated to the existing water filter portfolio and distributed using the current sales channels.
