Important results from the project
Test of instruments (international expertise and rapid prototyping support) to try out ideas and reach international customers and revenues as early as possible. Focus: Startups in the area of Connected Health, where Sweden has a unique opportunity to become a leading hub. However, the window of opportunity is shrinking. The entrepreneurs rate the support 4 and 4,7 respectively, on a scale from 0 to 5, where 5 is crucial impact on the development of the business.
Expected long term effects
The instruments are effective according to the entrepreneurs. They say it will have a positive impact on their ability to communicate and test on customers, becoming credible, attracting investors, reaching international customers etc. Resources offered per client are just about right.
Approach and implementation
Innovation Skåne and Sahlgrenska Science Park have recruited clients for the test, had dialogue around need and support and made decisions about support jointly. All suppliers have been procured ahead or in parallel. Continued support 1) with international expert advisors should be slightly extended to each client and supplemented with additional relevant experts 2) for rapid prototyping should be tried on a larger population. Both should also be evaluated at a later stage.
