Important results from the project
ECG measurements today suffer from large amounts of motion-induced artifacts which in many situations lead to the information being useless and not usable. The aim of this project is to obtain prototypes of a completely new type of ECG electrodes and cables that will be able to offer an ECG signal free from motion-induced artifacts. These prototypes should then be able to form the basis for further development towards the finished product.
Expected long term effects
The prototypes developed show very good functionality and have also been demonstrated to potential future customers with extremely positive response.
Approach and implementation
The project has primarily been based on evaluation and testing of theories in order to find a suitable technical solution as well as to reject alternative solutions that are not as robust. A number of theories have been rejected and some have been confirmed, important steps towards finding a final solution for a future finished product.
