Important results from the project
The goal of developing Gazzine´s editor was to attract more journalists and have more articles published on the platform. Only by communicating to the journalists that the editor is important to improve, have we managed to increase recruitment significantly, but we will only see the main result of the activity when it is fully implemented on the site. The goal was to at least double the number of journalists who publish articles from ten to twenty per week in December 2020, but given the problems that arose during the project, we must postpone this until the editor is launched.
Expected long term effects
While we were working on the project, things happened that forced our CTO to prioritize other things than developing the editor. This means that the project is not completely finished yet, but we have come a long way and look forward to finishing it during the year.
Approach and implementation
We started with a conceptual analysis and a basic design. Then we created a more detailed design and built the editor itself. The foundation for the new editor is ready and will be implemented as soon as the rest of the site catches up.
