Venture Research projects in interaction for system transformation
Call Research in interaction for transition to sustainable societies

Purpose and goal

The project aims to generate knowledge on and enhance institutional capacity for navigating sustainable healthcare transformations. Through an interdisciplinary team of researchers in close interaction with practice, the project will extend a relevant conceptual and methodological framework for transformative innovation policy. The project goal is to develop three conceptual models for setting direction, reach deep systems change and dock learnings from expeditions to the existing organisation.

Expected effects and result

Expected results include development of three tools to support negotiating and setting of (1) direction, (2) enacting deep systems change, and (3) docking learnings and results from expeditions into mainstream organisations to guide sustainable change in established culture, structure and practice. The project will result in two academic publications and a practical toolbox with guidelines on how to enhance governance capacity to navigate sustainable transformations in health care systems as well as other domains and contexts.

Planned approach and implementation

The project methods build on (a) conceptual model/tool development in an interdisciplinary team of researchers (b) testing and refining in transdisciplinary interaction with health care practitioners, and (c) continuous monitoring, evaluation and reflection.
