Important results from the project
The project has aimed to establish a National Cow Datalab that offers digital infrastructure and regulations for accessing national Cow data. The project´s objective has been to make available and increase the use of Cow data for need owners and innovators within the Swedish food chain and to create solutions for data-driven innovations. We have fulfilled the project´s objective.
Expected long term effects
Expected results are that data is used for decisions and services that improve animal health, breeding, food production and profitability and give rise to innovations. Short term, the Datalab will generate more digital solutions and provide increased accessibility for more people. Long term, the Datalab will develop the animal industry in Sweden towards a sustainable and environmental business with a strong focus on animal health in food production. Expected effects are that datadriven innovations increase in scope and that data-driven AI solutions in the area become possible.
Approach and implementation
The national code lab has welcomed new actorst hrough needs inventory, dialogue and concrete use of data. A modern data-driven thematic ecosystem was created. The project started in October 2021 and ended in December 2023. Partners in the project were Växa Sverige, SLU and RISE. The project was divided into five work packages. These were: 1 Technical prerequisites for the data lab 2 Identification of applications & testing of AI solution 3 Establishment of method for interactivity with innovators 4 Business model and regulations for sharing data 5 Project management
