Important results from the project
The conference Nanoforum 2018 was held at Humanistiska Teatern, Uppsala University, Uppsala, on October 23, 2018. The goal was to arrange an international conference on competitiveness and sustainable innovations with three themes, Sustainable nanomaterial/nano solutions, Life Cycle impact and New Business Models. At the conference, the Nanotech Company of the Year Award was "crowned"
Expected long term effects
One specific goal was to increase the number of partners/sponsors compared to 2017. We had eight sponsors this year compared to five prtners last ear. The aim was also to involve more companies, especially large companies in the conference. The networking in coffee breaks and at luncch was intense. Many participants have mentioned that conferences like NanoForum are good for meeting people and get inpiration.
Approach and implementation
The work has been in progress since Jan 2018, including creation of the program, marketing, involving sponsors and prtners, selection of candidates for the award nnotech Company of the Year. We organised a program committtee with people from Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Uppsala Municipality, Stockholm Business Region, Sting, SISP, ÅF and Uppsala Region. In parallel with the conference, SIO Grafen and Stockholm Business region arranged matchmaking meetings with investors.
