Important results from the project
The challenge the project addresses is how municipalities can increase residents´ participation from just being informed to being able to participate in decisions and influence the municipality´s future. Electronic invitations and protocols are today difficult to find and understand due to linguistic, cultural and special needs. An alpha version of an AI service that automates the process of generating summaries of political calls and protocols has been developed and tested during the project.
Expected long term effects
The project has been a catalyst for a newly formed AI council in the municipality, where knowledge made available through the project has been able to be channeled. This, together with a general increase in knowledge and an increased focus on AI issues, is the most important result. Another important result is the contribution to an increased understanding of how AI can be used within municipal activities, which can lead to further investments in AI solutions.
Approach and implementation
The project began with a needs inventory and an iterative development by AI Chatten. The phase involved active work on customizing and improving the chat in collaboration with a diversified test group. In parallel, training was carried out for municipal employees to strengthen their knowledge of AI and AI Swedens materials. An alpha release was tested by the test group. Iteration and tests were carried out in efficient cooperation between RISE and the municipality.
