Important results from the project
As support for the ELEMENT-project we were to develop a demonstrator with a multiple output antenna array. This should be used to verify the system capability of Tx RF IC which were developed within the ELEMENT-project. During the work, the goal of the project was changed to develop a board with a multiple output antenna array. The result is a card with 4 digital Tx- and Rx-channels, each with 16 analog channels. There´s still some work to be done to verify the functionality of the board, but that is something we plan to finish during spring 2022.
Expected long term effects
We have developed a board with multiple output antenna arrays with 4 digital Tx- and Rx-channels, each with 16 analog channels. We have contact with several people intrested in our board, who wishes to use them within their research.
Approach and implementation
The project was severely affected half-way when we realised that the chip we were meant to mount on the card could not be delivered. This lead to delays and higher costs of the project. The reason of the problems were hard to foresee and also nothing we could affect. We did find a solution to the problem, and in the end we succeeded to develop the board with a multiple output antenna array.
