Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to make use of the cutting-edge expertise of a foreign researcher who has worked within Swedish academia within the framework of MSCA in order to maintain the expertise in Sweden. It specifically aimed to further develop expertise and experience in aspects important within the Swedish pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Oncopeptides´s expectancy was to make use of the competence in informatics, databases and programming and to apply it to Oncopeptide´s database structure.

Expected long term effects

Several different types of programming were applied to improve the construction of Oncopeptide´s database. These changes have significantly improved both the handling of new and historical data as well as our researchers´ ability to effectively analyze and process results in their daily activities. At the same time, the competence has been broadened and deepened to new programming tools and provided a network and understanding of the needs within the life science industry.

Approach and implementation

He was trained through self-study and teaching by the project supervisor in how the database system worked and what changes were requested. He then developed and tested various solutions in close interaction with the users. The solutions would satisfy both a programming code that efficiently utilised the database structure and at the same time provide a user-friendly interface.
