Important results from the project
The goal was to create a model for how social benefits can be included in the decision-making of actors whose collaborative activities have ability to promote sustainable urban area development. The project also aimed to extend the already established cooperation network with more actors to further develop framework and models based on professionalism.
Expected long term effects
The long term goal is that a substantial part of the investments - private and societal - which today are made regarding urban area development also contribute to social benefits. This contributes not only to sustainability but also to increased competitiveness among Swedish actors, increasing the attractiveness of Swedish cities and strengthened social capital. The model in progress HAI has the potential to support this.
Approach and implementation
The project is led and organized by Urban Innovation Lab. The project has a strong focus on collaboration with included partners. The actors´ respective business models including decision support for increased social investment in urban area development have formed the basis for the model concept for cooperation to increase the share of investments in urban area development that also contribute to social benefits.
