Important results from the project

The aim of the project was to contribute to the governments “samverkansprogram Nästa generations resor och transporter”. The project goal was to develop a roadmap and a project proposal with activities that, by utilizing ongoing activities and the existing technical and organizational platform developed in Drive Sweden, contribute to accelerating combined multimodal mobility (“kombinerad mobilitet”) as a service in large scale in Sweden. These goals are achieved with the roadmap 2017-2028 and the project description that has been developed.

Expected long term effects

The project results where a longterm road map (2017-2028) and a project description including a project plan with concrete actions for the period 2017-2020 to accelerate the development and implementation of multimodal mobility (kombinerad mobilitet) as a Service in Sweden. The roadmap is anchored and coordinated with relevant stakeholders including for example “Hållbar Kombinerad Mobilitet” (Energimyndigheten), Swedish Mobility Program (Samtrafiken) and representatives from public transport, and there is a consensus about the goals and role of the roadmap.

Approach and implementation

A project group with participants from KTH, Västra Götalandsregionen, Rise Viktoria, Samtrafiken and Mistra SAMS-projektet was formed. The project group memebers where selected to represent non-profit organizations with a broad knowledge of mobility services in Sweden. Since public transport is considered a core component in this mobility concept, representatives from public transport were also involved in the project group. The work has been anchored with samverkansgruppen and other stakeholders.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
