Important results from the project
The project´s goals have been fully achieved. Through a structured, iterative process, we have designed, co-created and tested a developed communication functionality and a new microlearning functionality in the Minnity app. We have also created a French version of the solution, an feature allowing to manage complex business structures, and a preliminary algorithm for adapting learning pathways to users´ needs. We have integrated a secure login with BankID and developed other security measures.
Expected long term effects
The project resulted in creating a developed version of the Minnity app. We have improved communication functionalities that enable effective coordination of care between the care staff, the caretaker and the caretaker´s relatives and have created a microlearning module to improve the users´ competence in dementia care. The app´s user-friendliness and a clear focus on a personalized approach to the care recipient are appreciated by testers, experts and other actors. The digital solution is now a working tool and a training aid ready for use.
Approach and implementation
Development followed an iterative cycle: needs and requirements analysis - creation of prototypes - development - tests, which were repeated several times in close collaboration with end users. The work was divided into two phases: development of communication functions and microlearning. Despite the challenges following the covid-19 pandemic, we have succeeded in collaborating with care staff and other actors in dementia and elderly care in Sweden, France, Finland and Poland and focused on individual tests and digital communication channels, which gave us expected effects.
