Important results from the project
Medtech4Health has largely met its objective and created significant results through strengthened collaboration between healthcare, academia, industry and patients. The program has contributed to the implementation of innovations, increased competitiveness, internationalization and new networks. In the longer term, the results are expected to strengthen patient benefit, companies´ growth, export opportunities and Sweden´s role as a leading innovation nation.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to lead to increased patient benefit in the long term through more efficient care and shorter care processes, strengthened competitiveness and growth of Swedish medical technology companies, improved export opportunities and a more sustainable and equitable healthcare system. Overall, this strengthens Sweden´s attractiveness as an innovation nation and contributes to sustainable solutions to global health challenges.
Approach and implementation
The project has been run as a national partnership with healthcare, academia, business and patient representatives. Organized with a central office, partner meeting, board and program council (6 regions, 2 nodes), it has used calls, strategic projects and knowledge support to drive synergies, implementation, growth, networking and dissemination of results.
