Important results from the project

The goal of creating a strong KC proposal for MAXBATT with battery production at the center is fulfilled and a start-up consortium with international competitiveness is behind the proposal that will be submitted to the call "Competence center in Sustainable industry and Digital transformation 2024" before March 1, 2023 is fulfilled.

Expected long term effects

The result from the planning grant of KC MAXBATT is a complete, strong KC application with battery production at the center. The expected outcome is a granted KC MAXBATT with strong international competitive advantage which will aid Sweden as a whole in positioning battery manufacturing and its value chain high on an international level as well as strengthen Sweden during the shift towards electromobility in many sectors.

Approach and implementation

Carried out according to plan, with over 100 individual meetings where researchers and industry collaborated very well to ensure relevance in research and industrial benefit for the intended KC MAXBATT. Three large meetings, physically with 100+ participants in November 2002, a digital one with 50+ participants in December and a planned physical one on February 1 with all parties involved (approx. 20 parties) physically to agree the last thing before the proposal is sent to KC MAXBATT to VINNOVA.
