Important results from the project

In this project, a survey of the international situation, with the greatest focus on Europe, regarding similar programs, such as InfraSweden2030 or programs with support for InfraSweden2030 activities, has been carried out. The report presents brief descriptions of the relevant programs identified. For each program there is also a link to the program´s website and, if applicable, to contact persons. The survey is supplemented by a list of research financiers deemed to be interesting. Furthermore, some selected relevant road maps are described.

Expected long term effects

The identified programs are of a different nature, some of which include already established research projects, while others have a similar design as InfraSweden2030 with calls. These may sometimes be open to applicants from other countries. The survey gives a good overview of the research areas in focus in different countries and is a good basis when looking for suitable partners for EU applications. As far as possible, contact information for the various programs is given. The reported roadmaps provide a good basis for continued planning of the focus areas.

Approach and implementation

Searching the Internet and review of relevant websites and databases have been made by experienced personnel at VTI´s National Transport Library. Information has also been obtained by sending e-mail to members of the Nordic, European and international organizations that VTI participates in. Unfortunately, the response rate was relatively low. Larger repons had required personal contacts and more resources. However, we believe we have managed to get a good survey of relevant programs by combining search on the internet with contacts within VTI´s extensive international network.
